The stoner metal trio from Minas Gerais, Mãe Serpente, has released their second single, titled 'Mãe Serpente', accompanied by a lyric video. The track previews the band's upcoming album, set to be released on July 27. Drawing influences from 1970s hard rock and classic heavy metal, the band explores the ancient symbolism of the serpent, portraying it as a universal force present throughout human history.
Carrying a sound marked by heavy riffs and Portuguese lyrics addressing social and philosophical issues, Mãe Serpente promises a body of work that balances the weight of stoner and doom metal with nods to 70s hard rock and traditional metal. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Audio One Studios by Alan Wallace, with vocals recorded at 415 Home Studio.
